___________________' Marillion Weekends 2011'_____________________
Once again, the Marillion Weekend will be two separate events taking place on two continents. The Netherlands Weekend will follow a similar format to that of past Weekends. This includes full-length Marillion concerts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Both Weekends will feature a performance of the Holidays In Eden album in its entirety on Friday night. The 'theme' for the other nights has not yet been decided. Information will be available here as soon as it becomes available. There will be support acts on each night for both Weekends. These artists have yet to be announced. Details to follow.
As with the 2009 Weekends, the Netherlands event will be held at CenterParcs Resort in Port Zélande, Holland. This is an all-inclusive event and provides accommodations, events, food, and of course, the evenings' performances. This event is now sold out.
The Canada Weekend will include only entrance to the three concerts held at the beautiful Théâtre L'Olympia in downtown Montréal. Hotels, food, and other activities are the responsibility of the attendees. Tickets are prices at $150 CAD per person for the three-day ticket. Tickets for individual nights are not available. By popular demand, a third Marillion Weekend was announced in late August 2010 by the band. This will be held at the fabulous art-deco "The Assmebly" in Leamington Spa, England. The U.K. Weekend will be much the same as the Canada Weekend. Only the three concerts are included. Accommodations are left to the attendees and no outside activities are planned. Individual show tickets are not available. The cost of a 3-Day Ticket is £99.00. Ticket information is available here.
