___________________' Marillion Weekends 2009'_____________________

For the first time, the Marillion Weekend was two separate events taking place on two continents.   The Netherlands Weekend followed a similar format to that of past Weekends.  This included full-length Marillion concerts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.  The Netherlands Weekend featured a complete performance of the Seasons End album in its entirety on Friday night.  The Saturday show, dubbed "Tracks of Our Years" featured tracks from throughout the band's history ranging from "Garden Party" through "This Train is My Life". Sunday's set was called "The Epic Evening", and featured many of the longer songs the band has recorded over the years.  The Netherlands Weekend, also featured signing sessions and a variety of other activities.  Support acts included The Wishing Tree, Toby Sebastien, The Reasoning, and A Genuine Freakshow.  The Marillion sets were recorded and filmed for future release by Tim and the folks at Toward Infinity (who brought you the Marillion Weekend 2007 "This Strange Convention"  and 2008 "Somewhere In London" DVDs).

The Montréal Weekend featured the same basic performance schedule (with a few changes on the second night) to the Netherlands.  Support acts included The Wishing Tree, Sun Domingo, and the return of old friend, the 'mighty' John Wesley Further information regarding both events is available at the Marillion Weekend website.  Like the Netherlands, all three Marillion sets were recorded and filmed for future release.
